Dubrovnik from Above

The walls of Dubrovnik have witnessed history, they are filled with secrets and disaster. This city has been bombed recently, within the lifetimes of many of the people living there now, and yet it still looks so beautiful. As the sun sets the city seems to glow.

As someone who couldn't possibly spend the rest of their life living in one place I fully understand the draw of living abroad. However, when my friends decide to pack their bags and leave this seems a whole lot less exciting. After all the tears had dried and they'd finally got on the plane the thought occurred to me that I had a home away from home, with a pool. Hello Bahrain sunshine…!
